In short: we collect only the details you choose to give us when you enquire, we use them to reply to you about property, and we do not sell your personal data.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how personal data is handled on johorbahru-newproperties.com. The data user is GT Nelson Realty Sdn Bhd (E(1)1836), a registered estate agency, together with its Real Estate Negotiator May (Leong Siew Mei), REN 78535, who operates this website. We follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

2. What we collect

Details you give us in an enquiry: your name, WhatsApp or phone number, whether you are a Malaysian, Singaporean or foreign buyer, and your preferred zone, property type and budget range.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or through our social media accounts.
Technical data: basic information such as browser type, device type, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

The enquiry form on this website does not send data to our servers. It builds a WhatsApp message on your own device with the details you typed, and nothing is shared with us until you press send in WhatsApp. You do not have to give us any information you are not comfortable sharing, though we may then be unable to answer your enquiry fully.

3. How we use your data

To reply to your enquiry and recommend suitable projects.
To arrange viewings, send project information you asked for, and follow up on your enquiry.
To pass your enquiry to the developer or its sales gallery for the project you are interested in, so they can assist you.
To understand how the website is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
To meet our legal and regulatory duties as a registered estate agency.

We will not use your data for purposes unrelated to the above without asking you first.

4. Who we share it with

GT Nelson Realty Sdn Bhd and its authorised staff.
Developers and their sales teams for the project you enquired about.
Service providers that help us run communication and advertising, such as WhatsApp (Meta) and Google.
Authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Marketing messages

By sending us an enquiry you agree that we may contact you about it by WhatsApp, phone or message. If we send you updates about other projects, you can tell us at any time to stop and we will.

6. Cookies and advertising

This website may use cookies and similar technologies, including those from Google (for example Google Ads and Google Analytics) and Meta (for example the Meta Pixel), to measure visits, understand which advertisements lead to enquiries, and show relevant advertising. These providers may collect data such as your IP address and browsing activity under their own privacy policies. You can control this by changing your browser's cookie settings, by using Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), or by adjusting your ad preferences in your Meta account. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the website.

7. Storing data outside Malaysia

Some providers we use, such as Google and Meta, process data on servers outside Malaysia. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your data.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting purchase, and as long as the law requires records to be kept. After that we delete or anonymise them.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop using it for marketing. To do so, email us at [email protected] or use the contact details below. We may need to confirm your identity first.

11. Children

This website is intended for adults who are able to enter into property transactions. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

12. Links to other sites

The website links to WhatsApp and to our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Xiaohongshu. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this website.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
